I was so excited to be approved for an ARC of this book that I jumped right in, full force. And Iโm so glad I did.
What the world needs more of is stand-alone romantasy books. I love my series. I do. But sometimes I really want to read one book, be happy about it, and then let the characters rest and enjoy their ending. And thatโs exactly what this book gave.
While this book did read on the YA side (definitely not mad about it as I love YA) it had some really wonderful world building within the story itself. Rival kingdoms? M*rder? Princesses and ghosts? Sign me all the way up every single time.
I really loved Drown the Bones and Alexandra Kennington as definitely solidified myself as a fan with this story and these characters.
This book does touch on religiosity and the questioning of religious, so know that when diving in.
This is a great book for those who are fans of:
๐ Ghost MMC
๐Religious Questioning
๐YA Romanatsy
๐Stand Alone
๐LGBTQIA+ rep
๐World building and โreal worldโ problems
๐Rival Kingdoms
Drown the Bones is available on November 3rd.
A very special thank you to the publisher, NetGally, and the author for a chance to read this ARC.
